The Application Process
Step 1: Selecting Your Membership Level
Begin by reviewing our membership categories to identify the level that aligns with your qualifications and professional aspirations. This ensures you apply for the membership tier that best suits your needs and expertise.​
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Complete your application through our online platform for streamlined processing. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can download the application form from our website, fill it out at your convenience, and return it to us via email.

Step 3: Initial Contact
Within a few days of receiving your application, we will reach out to you to either schedule a Zoom interview or request any additional information that may be needed to proceed with your application.

Step 4: The Interview Experience
Our interviews are designed to be welcoming and engaging. Conducted by at least two experienced ICB members, this conversation is a chance for us to learn about your journey in canine behaviour, your philosophies, and your ambitions. It’s also an excellent opportunity for you to ask questions and gain deeper insights into our community and its benefits.

Step 5: Application Outcome
Expect to hear from us about the outcome of your application approximately 7-10 days post-interview. Whether successful or otherwise, we will provide you with constructive feedback. Our goal is to support all applicants in their professional development.

Step 6: Membership Confirmation
Upon acceptance, we kindly ask that you complete your membership by paying the applicable fees. This finalises your membership and welcomes you officially into the ICB community.

Step 7: Welcome Pack
As a new member, you’ll receive an exclusive online welcome pack, complete with ICB logos for your use. Additionally, a certificate commemorating your membership will be sent to you by post.

Annual Renewal Date
Please mark your calendar - membership renewals are scheduled for the 1st of July each year. This is a friendly reminder to ensure your membership remains active, allowing you continuous access to all the benefits and resources provided by the International Canine Behaviourists (ICB).
Pro-Rata Membership Fees
For those joining us partway through our membership year, we’ve implemented a pro-rata fee structure. This means your membership fees will be adjusted based on the month you join, ensuring you only pay for the remaining portion of the year. This approach is part of our commitment to flexibility and fairness for all members.
